Adda Central — Responsible Play Policy
DRAFT — prepared for review by Skycast Media Network Private Limited's counsel. Not legal advice.
Last updated: [DATE]
Adda Central is made for short, happy games with friends and family — a round of Ludo on the bus, a Tambola night with cousins. This page explains what we do to keep play healthy, and how parents can help.
1. No gambling, no real money
- There is no betting, wagering or real-money play in Adda Central.
- Entering a match or tournament never costs anything.
- Prizes are virtual (Coins, XP and cosmetics) and can never be turned into cash, vouchers or recharges.
- Nothing you can buy is ever at stake, and nothing you can buy changes your chances of winning.
- Adda Central contains no card betting games. (A separate 18+ app, not part of Adda Central, offers simulated card games with virtual chips; it has its own terms.)
If anyone offers you real money for Adda Central accounts, Coins or Gems, or promotes a "win cash" app using our name, please report it to support@addacentral.com.
2. Built-in tools
| Tool | What it does |
|---|---|
| 60-minute play reminder | After every 60 minutes of continuous play, the app shows a reminder to take a break |
| Daily playtime | Your profile shows how long you have played today |
| Notification limits | We send at most two notifications a day. Players aged 13–17 receive only gameplay notifications ("your turn", a friend's invite), never marketing ones. You can switch notifications off in your phone's settings at any time |
| Ad limits | Rewarded videos are capped at 10 a day. Players aged 13–17 never see full-screen ads |
| Mute, block, report | Available in every room |
3. Tips for healthy play
- Set yourself a time limit and stop when the reminder appears.
- Don't let streaks or events pressure you — missing a day is fine.
- Play in breaks, not instead of sleep, study or work.
- If you feel gaming is affecting your mood, sleep, studies, work or relationships, talk to someone you trust. In India you can call the Tele-MANAS mental health helpline on 14416 or 1-800-891-4416 (free, 24x7) [PLACEHOLDER: verify helpline numbers before publication].
4. For parents and guardians
- Age limits. Adda Central is for ages 13 and over. Children under 13 cannot create an account.
- Teen protections (13–17). Teen accounts cannot buy anything, see only non-personalised ads, cannot play online with strangers (only with the computer, on one phone, or in private rooms by a friend's link), get no marketing notifications, and have no free-text chat.
- Parental consent. We are introducing verifiable parental consent for players aged 13–17, as Indian law requires. See the Parental Consent Notice.
- Phone-level controls. You can also use Google Family Link (Android) or Screen Time (iPhone) to set daily limits, require approval for purchases and manage app access.
- Talk about it. Check your child's daily playtime in their profile together, and agree on limits.
- Need help? Write to privacy@addacentral.com to ask about, or delete, your child's account, or contact our Grievance Officer through the Grievance Redressal Policy.
